What is DIG IN?
DIG IN is a one day region-wide food drive to raise non-perishable food needed for the summer months at The Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
This is a chance for the entire community to get involved, raise a lot of food for those needing help and have fun!
28,000 people needed food assistance last year. Almost 40% of these are children. The need for emergency food continues throughout the summer while many people are on vacation and not thinking of The Food Bank and the over 82 food programs it services: hampers, community meals, shelters and residential programs.
Where will DIG IN take place?
There will be events and activities at donation sites throughout the region organized by neighbourhood associations, businesses, organizations and schools. See Donation Site section to the left for the most up to date locations.
