An Update on COVID-19

March 24th, 2020COVID-19

Dear Neighbour,

I’m writing you today to share an important update regarding The Food Bank of Waterloo Region’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the end of last week, The Food Bank adjusted our operations and activated the Pandemic Business Continuity Plan to ensure essential services continue to be offered in our community.

In collaboration with the Region of Waterloo Community Services and Public Health Department, this plan ensures local resources are mobilized to continue essential service delivery while protecting the health and safety of staff, volunteers and community members. For additional details on this plan please click here.

Many people have asked how they can support The Food Bank during this unprecedented time.

Your financial support allows us to fill gaps in our inventory and maintain operational activities to ensure continued service delivery to the Community Food Assistance Network. Your support will help the people in our community confronting food insecurity during this crisis.

Why Donations are Important Right Now:

The Food Bank remains fully operational, should you have any questions. Visit our website at or our social media channels @FoodBankWatReg to stay up-to-date about how you can help ensure no one goes hungry.

Stay safe and healthy, and thank you for being such a valuable part of our community.
