Community Food Sorting

In Waterloo Region, more than 34,000 men, women, and children receive food assistance each year. Community support – through food and fund donations – plays an important role in ensuring no one goes hungry by helping to provide over 2 million meals to those struggling to put food on the table.

Join us for a Food Sorting Experience!

We are hosting a number of Community Food Sorting Experience events in August and would love to have you join us:

What You Need to Know

To participate in a Community Food Sorting Experience, we ask for your support by donating a bag of our most needed food items or make a minimum financial donation:

  • Adult (18 years and older): $10 per person
  • Youth (6 to 17 years): $5 per person

All financial donations will receive a charitable tax receipt. You can donate in person or online.

To ensure a fun and safe experience for all, please note the following:

Age Limit: Children must be 6 years of age or older to participate in food sorting. All children between the ages of 6 and 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and have a waiver form signed (available on site during the activity).

Attire: For your comfort and safety, we require you to wear closed toe and flat footwear. Work gloves are available. Dress comfortably and in layers as the temperature can fluctuate.

Accessibility: Our accessible entrance is located through our front office.

Parking: Please observe all parking rules, and do not park in any neighbouring businesses. See here for complete details.
