Join CBC Kitchener-Waterloo and The Morning Edition host Craig Norris for the kick-off to Sounds of the Season on Friday, Dec. 7. It’s a morning of giving, filled with musical performances by local musicians and heart-warming stories of need on CBC Radio One 89.1 FM. What is Sounds of the Season?
It’s that time of year again. The region is buzzing with holiday markets and there are festive decorations lighting up the streets. But not everyone in Waterloo region is filled with a sense of hope this holiday season.
The annual charity drive supports The Food Bank of Waterloo Region who serve more than 100 local agencies and programs that provide nutrition education, counseling, employment skills and shelter in addition to much needed food items.
Seating is limited and tickets must be reserved in advance. Each person will need their own ticket, but you can use the same email to reserve multiple seats. Register here.
Donations to CBC Ontario’s Sounds of the Season can be made at our kick-off event on Friday, Dec. 7 at The Museum in downtown Kitchener, at the CBC Kitchener-Waterloo studio at 117 King St. West, online or by phone at 416-203-0050.
After the live show, audiences will receive a special gift of a holiday ornament from CBC Kitchener-Waterloo while supplies last approximately 200 to give away, one per household).
