HELP US RAISE 1/2 MILLION MEALS FOR CHILDREN IN WATERLOO REGION.

This summer, we are asking you to support the Full Bellies. Happy Hearts. ½ million meal challenge to ensure no one goes hungry during the COVID-19 health crisis, and beyond.

While COVID-19 has forced many of us to change our summer plans, this pandemic has had a tremendous impact on the most vulnerable children, families and individuals in our community. The safety net of school food programs has been pulled out from under thousands of children much earlier than expected, leaving many children, individuals and families wondering where their next meal will come from.

Thanks to the generosity of the Allan Bush Investment Team, your donation will double in impact (up to $20,000):

CIBC Wood Gundy is a division of CIBC World Markets Inc., a subsidiary of CIBC and a Member of the
Canadian Investor Protection Fund and Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada.

How can I help?

Donate

Financial donations allow us the flexibility to purchase the food most urgently needed and fill any gaps in our inventory (when food donations of a particular product are scarce).

DONATE FUNDS

We are currently able to accept non-perishable food donations through contactless drop-offs at 50 Alpine Court. When you arrive, go to the Customer Service Entrance (yellow door), there is a bin located beside the door for drop-offs that staff empty throughout the day.

Host a Virtual Food & Fund Drive

This year, we are encouraging you to host virtual Food & Fund Drives in support of The Food Bank of Waterloo Region. Having a zoom chat, conference call, virtual games night or online live concert? Collect financial donations in support of The Food Bank. Your support allows us to fill gaps in our inventory, ensure continued service delivery to the Community Food Assistance Network and help people in our community during this unprecedented health crisis.

Collect food and funds with your neighbours, friends, schools, teams or workplaces safely online. With our Canada Helps system, you can create a fundraising team or encourage people to support your individual Food & Fund Drive all from the comfort of your home.

Register Your Food & Fund Drive

If you are still interested in hosting a regular Food & Fund Drive rather than online, please make sure you complete your registration.

Registration allows us to know what is happening in the community and when. It give us an indication of the amount of food that will be coming in from the community so we can shift resources as necessary. It lets us support your drive with information, promotions and other resources to ensure your work translates directly into the greatest amount of assistance for our community. Finally it allows us to acknowledge the work of individuals and organizations like yours, making a difference in our community, and inspire others to do what they can to help.
