Most Needed Food Items

We are currently closed to the public, however we are accepting non-perishable food donations through contactless drop-offs at 50 Alpine Court, Kitchener. Please go to the Customer Service Entrance (yellow door) and ring the bell, a team member will be available to assist with the donation.

Financial donations can be made online at: thefoodbank.ca/donate or by calling: 519.743.5576.

Currently, our most needed food items are:
  • Canned soup
  • Snacks for school lunches
  • Canned or dried beans
  • Canned meat and fish
  • Hot cereal

While food is our top priority, we do accept unopened bags of pet food and non-food items such as, personal care, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies.

The Region of Waterloo Public Health has developed Nutritional Guidelines to help you purchase foods that have the maximum nutritional value. Food donations can be dropped off at The Food Bank, in the bin at your local grocery store, fire hall or police division.
