While we might not be able to celebrate Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest the way we are used to, we are happy to share the festival has gone virtual, making sure we don’t miss out on any of the fun!
Canada’s largest Bavarian Festival may be taking a different form this year, but their commitment to the community, and The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, is as strong as ever.
Fun Ways to Get Involved:
Onkel Hans Food Drive
September 25 – October 12
The Onkel Hans Food Drive – one of the largest food drives each year – will run September 25 – October 12.
Phil the Food Drive Bag + Hans Pin (Limited Edition)
September 29 – October 12 (while supplies last)
Oktoberfest is a special time of year for Phil The Food Drive Bag. That was when he was introduced to his good friend Onkel Hans and to the amazing community that we live in. Phil won’t be doing the polka or tapping any kegs this year, but he still wanted to celebrate Oktoberfest with you. Onkel Hans pulled some strings for Phil and had a special pin made! There are a limited number of pins available for $6 each!

Fill the Rangers Bus
In lieu of not having a home game during this year’s Thanksgiving weekend to collect non-perishable food items for The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, the Rangers are asking fans to help Fill the Rangers Bus! A team of volunteers will be on-site at Zehrs Laurentian (750 Ottawa Street South, Kitchener) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 10 to collect donations. If you can’t attend the store that day, consider donating online below!
CTV Parade Special
Grab your schnitzel and pretzel and tune in to CTV on Monday, October 12 for a look back at annual Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parades.
