We ask that community groups coordinate a food and fund drive and raise 250 pounds of food, in order to participate in an on-site activity. If your group prefers to raise funds, that is also appreciated, as $20 per person can help The Food Bank provide 60 meals in the community.

Community groups include service clubs, non-profit organizations and sport teams where participants are 15 years of age and older.

After a tour of our facility and brief training, volunteers will be various assigned tasks throughout our distribution centre. Last year over 2,000 volunteers helped us supply millions of meals to neighbors in need!

Please note: We cannot guarantee a specific activity, as it changes based on our current needs.

To ensure the health and safety of your group, as well as our staff and volunteers, we have implemented COVID-19 related protocols based on recommendations from the Region of Waterloo’s Public Health Department. Each participant will be required to fill out a COVID-19 pre-screening form prior to arriving onsite. Due to the close proximity of tasks, masks must be worn at all times in our distribution centre.

If you are interested in a volunteer activity with your community group, please complete the below form.

Please review the group agreement before filling out the form below.
