Tickets on sale for Whisky & Wine in the Warehouse

Event takes place April 25 at The Food Bank of Waterloo Region

Waterloo Region, Ont., February 2, 2026 – As more households struggle to make ends meet, The Food Bank of Waterloo Region is inviting the community to come together for an evening that helps remove barriers to food access. The second annual Whisky & Wine in the Warehouse offers guests the chance to raise a glass and help fight hunger by supporting programs that deliver nutritious food to those who need it most.

On April 25, guests will gather at The Food Bank’s Kitchener location, 50 Alpine Court, for an evening of fine whisky and wine, gourmet bites, and purposeful giving. More than just a fundraiser, Whisky & Wine in the Warehouse connects community generosity to a growing need—helping ensure neighbours who cannot access food programs still receive nutritious food.

“We’re excited to welcome the community to Whisky & Wine in the Warehouse,” says Kim Wilhelm, CEO of The Food Bank of Waterloo Region. “This event is about more than a memorable night—it’s about responding to the realities of food insecurity. For one night only, our distribution centre transforms into a one-of-a-kind event space, bringing caring people together to support The Food Bank and help ensure neighbours in need have access to nutritious food.”

Guests can put that support into action throughout the evening with live and silent auctions and a fund-a-need focused on expanding The Food Bank’s hamper delivery service—a program designed to reach people who face mobility, health, caregiving or other barriers that prevent them from accessing food assistance in person, bringing fresh, nutritious food directly to households.

“On average, we make 38 home deliveries a week, Monday to Thursday,” explains Wilhelm. “Expanding this service to include Fridays would allow us to reach even more neighbours in need. Community support is what will make this possible.”

Tickets for Whisky & Wine in the Warehouse are limited and range from $125 to $200 per person. Buy at thefoodbank.ca/whiskywine. Every $200 ticket sold helps feed a family with nutritious food for an entire month—support that makes a real difference during a time of rising costs and growing need.

Through ticket sales, sponsorship, and fundraising initiatives during the event, The Food Bank hopes to raise $130,000—$60,000 to expand its hamper delivery service and $47,000 to support its ongoing efforts toward a Waterloo region where no one experiences hunger. Last year, the event raised $89,000, which helped provide 178,000 meals to people in need.

For the past 41 years, The Food Bank has served as the region’s central hub for food collection, storage, and distribution through the Community Food Assistance Network. Events like Whisky & Wine in the Warehouse play a vital role in helping The Food Bank adapt as community needs evolve, supporting the nearly 73,000 adults and children who rely on food assistance in Waterloo region.
