First Responders to Food Bank 365
The First Responders to Food Bank 365 program, sponsored by Melloul-Blamey, builds on the work and commitment of our first responder organizations, going beyond emergency situations to help people in their communities.
Dropping off food donations
Drop off non-perishable food donations to any fire, police, or paramedic station in Kitchener-Waterloo, at any time. All donations go to The Food Bank of Waterloo Region to be sorted and distributed to people in need through the Community Food Assistance Network.
Impact
Since the program began in 2015, the generosity of our community has resulted in enough food donations to provide nearly 200,000 meals—a testament to the power of collaboration and care.
"We are proud to partner with The Food Bank and give back to the community in such an important way. People are able to drop off non-perishable donations 365 days a year, the same way we are open for service in our community. The awareness continues to grow and the donations have increased since the program was first launched."
