On Tuesday, May 12, Melloul-Blamey is teaming up with local first responders—including Waterloo Fire Rescue, Kitchener Fire, Waterloo Regional Police Service, and Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services—to collect food and funds in support of The Food Bank of Waterloo Region’s Spring Food and Fund Drive campaign.
The community is invited to stop by any Sobeys store in Kitchener-Waterloo, between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., to take part in Phil A Truck.
While in store, shoppers can make a cash or non-perishable food donation—or pick up a pre-filled bag with The Food Bank’s most needed food items and drop it into the donation bin in the back of a Melloul-Blamey pickup truck.
Every donation helps ensure local families and individuals have access to the food they need.
